Start an oven cleaning business in Birmingham
A franchise alternative with no long-term contract and no lock-in: hands-on training, a tank option or a full business set-up.
Birmingham is the largest local authority in England by population, and the centre of a conurbation that also takes in Solihull, Dudley, Walsall and West Bromwich. If you are weighing up a home-service business in the West Midlands, the training for this one is a week in South East London, after which you take what you have learned back to Birmingham.
Learn from a working group
You train inside a real, busy multi-van oven cleaning operation, with an in-house marketing company in the same group. Training is in South East London, then you run your business where you live.
A big city of many neighbourhoods
Birmingham is made up of distinct districts rather than one centre. People talk about places such as Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Kings Heath, Handsworth, Selly Oak and the Jewellery Quarter, and the city also includes the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield to the north. Its housing is just as mixed: the city has a long Victorian history, and its older working-class areas included courts of back-to-back houses.
A city with that range of homes means a wide spread of ovens, from compact kitchens to large family cookers.
Students, families and the wider West Midlands
Birmingham has several universities, including the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston, Aston University and Birmingham City University, so there is a sizeable student population living in rented houses and flats. The Black Country and the other towns of the West Midlands conurbation sit right next door, with Coventry to the east and Lichfield to the north. If you decided to grow beyond the city itself, that is a large area to work in from one base.
We make no claims about how many customers you will get or what you will earn.
From Birmingham to South East London
Birmingham New Street is the city's main station, with Avanti West Coast trains to London Euston. Chiltern trains run from Birmingham Moor Street and Snow Hill to London Marylebone. From either terminus you continue across London to the Bromley area, where Bromley South has direct trains from London Victoria. We have not verified door-to-door journey times, so check a journey planner for the dates you want and ask us for the week's start time.

Questions about starting in Birmingham
Is Birmingham too far to train in London?
It is a longer journey than a local one, so plan it as a weekday trip or a stay for the training week. New Street to London Euston is the usual rail route. Ask us for the week's dates early so you can book travel.
Can I start in a Birmingham suburb such as Harborne or Sutton Coldfield?
Yes. Where in the Birmingham area you base the business is up to you. The training is the same wherever you live.
Can I run the business in Birmingham after the training?
Yes. After your week you run your oven cleaning business from Birmingham. The full on-the-job business setup includes the tank installation, tools and equipment, a website, office and business set-up and ongoing support.
