Nearby towns including Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield and Doncaster are all close enough that, once you are trained, you could work further afield.

Sheffield to the Bromley area
Sheffield station is on the Midland Main Line, with East Midlands Railway trains to London St Pancras. From St Pancras you continue across London to the Bromley area; Bromley South has direct trains from London Victoria.
