Overspill housing for London boroughs had been built in Bletchley since the 1950s.
That gives a mix of older streets and planned residential areas, spread out across the grid.
The Open University and neighbouring towns
The Open University is based in Milton Keynes. Bedford, Northampton, Aylesbury, Luton and Buckingham are all within reach, so a business started here could widen later. Bletchley Park, the wartime codebreaking site, is in the city.

Milton Keynes Central has West Midlands Trains and other services to London Euston. From Euston you continue across London to the Bromley area, where Bromley South has direct trains from London Victoria.
