Why train with us →

Granite buildings, Old Aberdeen and Torry

For centuries Aberdeen's buildings incorporated locally quarried grey granite, and Rubislaw quarry supplied granite for more than 300 years. Neighbourhoods people mention include Old Aberdeen, Rosemount, Torry, Ferryhill and Dyce, and nearby places such as Ellon, Inverurie and Westhill are within reach.

Granite terraces and flats make for many separate kitchens in compact streets.

Two universities and an energy economy

Aberdeen has two universities, the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, so student renting is part of the housing mix. The city's economy has long been linked to the oil industry, and Aberdeen has a harbour and an airport.

We do not claim local demand or earnings. The training is a week of real jobs, hands-on, with free extra days if you are not ready.

Travelling from Aberdeen to London

Aberdeen station has London North Eastern Railway trains to London King's Cross via Dundee, Edinburgh Waverley, Newcastle and York, and Aberdeen has an airport. It is a very long trip, so it makes sense to plan to stay in London for the whole week. From King's Cross you continue to the Bromley area, where Bromley South has direct trains from London Victoria. We have not verified journey times, so check them for your week.
