Southampton is known as a major port, and its neighbourhoods include Portswood, Bevois Valley, Highfield, Shirley, Woolston, Bitterne, Ocean Village and the Old Town. The city has a mix of terraces, flats and larger suburban estates.
Outside the city, Eastleigh, Totton, Romsey, Fareham and Winchester are all part of the wider Hampshire area.
Two universities and a lot of flats
Southampton has two universities, the University of Southampton and Solent University, so there are student lets in areas such as Portswood. As a port, it also has an international cruise and shipping profile, which means hotels and restaurants as well as ordinary homes.

Southampton Central is on the line from London Waterloo, with South Western Railway trains to Waterloo. From Waterloo you continue across London to the Bromley area, where Bromley South has direct trains from London Victoria. It is one of the nearer big cities, but a week of daily travel is still long. You may want to book a few nights in London. Ask for the start time and compare options.

Where you work after training is up to you. Eastleigh and Winchester are part of the wider area around Southampton.
Can I run the business in Southampton after the training?
